START TIME: 6:30AM
LOCATION: Delaware Avenue & Huron Street
The half marathon will start with the full marathon, the course is relatively flat and fast with great volunteer support and a scenic view of downtown’s waterfront and its major landmarks. The course has been designed for our athletes to enjoy views of Lake Erie, First Niagara Center Home of the Buffalo Sabres, Forest Lawn Cemetery, parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and many other Buffalo highlights.
Water and Gatorade will be available every two miles beginning at mile 2.

Starting in 2024 runners will have the option to do fundraising. While not required we would like everyone to consider giving it a try. All proceeds go directly to the Kaleida Health Foundation and benefit the best-in-class cardiac programs at Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute.
As part of our Heart-To-Heart initiative fundraisers will be provided with a personal fundraising page and tools to accept donations from their friends and family. Heart to Heart runners have the ability to win prizes when you fund raise certain amounts.

Course Support
There will be bike support monitoring the race course and professional medical assistance will be available throughout the entire race, with fully staffed medical area at the finish line.
Bands on Course
Live bands will be performing a variety of music every couple of miles on the race course. Make sure those dancing…we mean running…shoes are laced up nice and tight. Runners will be serenaded by a variety of music from classical to classic rock, punk rock to jazz, and everything in between will be performed by local artists.
